Designed for theatrical elegance and pristine flavor, this recipe yields an extraordinarily vibrant, clean cup with a silken body and glowing clarity. The magic lies in the Syphon’s vapor pressure and vacuum draw-down, which maintains a precise, full-immersion temperature to bring out the most complex, subtle nuances of your coffee.

What You Need:

- Coffee of your choice

- Grinder

- Kettle & Heat Source (Butane Burner or Beam Heater)

- Syphon Brewer (Tabletop Version)

- Syphon Cloth Filter

- Coffee Scale

- Bamboo Paddle or Stirrer

Recipe:

- Coffee: 20g

- Grind Size: Medium (FELLOW Ode #5.0)

- Water: 300g at 92°C

- Brewing Ratio: 1:15 (For every 1g coffee, we add 15g water)

Technique

Prep & Set-Up

Heat: Fill lower globe with 300g hot water and ignite heat source underneath.

Grind: Measure 20g of freshly roasted coffee (medium).

Rinse: Secure cloth filter into upper chamber, rinse with hot water, attach to lower globe, and add grounds once water rises to top chamber.

Pouring Instructions

0:00 – The Bloom: Submerge grounds with bamboo paddle and let bloom for 30 seconds.

0:30 – Main Brew: Stir gently in a circular motion, brew for 1 minute, then cut heat source.

1:30 – The Draw-Down: As lower globe cools, vacuum pressure pulls brewed coffee down through the filter.

Total Water: 300g | Ratio: 1:15
